Lazim Destani attended a private reception at Dusseldorf-based business club, the Wirtschaftsclub, joining 400 notable guests from across the North Rhine-Westphalia region’s business, political and media communities.
The reception was an informal event, but also an opportunity to discuss the region’s continued presence as an international business hub, as well as how Germany as a whole will meet new challenges and expectations in a world that is rapidly changing.
In his capacity as a former businessman and now philanthropist, Mr Destani had the great pleasure of meeting guests including US Consul General, Michael Kelly, Kosovar Ambassador to Germany, Skender Xhakaliu, and Carsten Linnemann from the Christian Democratic Union party, who gave a powerful speech and shared his views on some of the challenges facing Germany.
Speaking after the event, Mr Destani said: “This region and its outward facing business mentality is of great relevance and importance to Albanian business and prosperity in Southeast Europe. I was pleased to be able to represent these local interests and to have dialogue with so many thought-provoking people.”
