A primary school in North Macedonia’s capital of Tetovo is the latest project for local philanthropist Lazim Destani. Liria primary school now proudly boasts of two new classrooms which will increase the facilities for special needs students at the institution. The project was launched by Lazim Destani and formally opened by the Ecolog Advisory Chairman. He explained that while he was not involved in the daily operations of Ecolog, he continues to work with the company on specific issues since he shares the company’s vision of empowering communities within South Eastern Europe.
“I continue to dedicate my time to advocating for the development of the region. By promoting business and cultural interests of South Eastern Europe, I am confident that this will deliver much needed improved economic and social conditions”, explained Mr. Destani when asked why he became involved with the project.
The school improvement plan was the brainchild of Mr. Destani who also worked together with two other stakeholders: the Council of the Municipality of Tetovo and the German government. The new construction means that three new spaces have been added to the facility with two extra classrooms, a home room, and a restroom. The school was formally opened by Mr. Destani at a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo Ms. Teuta Arifi in attendance.
